A Comprehensive Guide to Using 'Has' and 'Have'

Identification and Basic Rules (Has/Have के नियम)
English में Has और Have का प्रयोग अधिकार (Possession) या संबंध (Relation) दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है। हिंदी में इनका अर्थ अक्सर "के पास है" या "रखता है" होता है।
* Has का प्रयोग: इसका प्रयोग Singular Subjects (एकवचन कर्ता) के साथ किया जाता है।
* He, She, It, Any Name (Ram, Sita), Singular Nouns (Boy, Cat).
* Have का प्रयोग: इसका प्रयोग Plural Subjects (बहुवचन कर्ता) और I/You के साथ किया जाता है।
* I, We, You, They, Plural Nouns (Boys, Cats).
Simple (Affirmative) Sentences
Rule: Subject + Has/Have + Object.
* I have a new bag. — मेरे पास एक नया बैग है।
* She has a beautiful voice. — उसकी आवाज़ बहुत सुंदर है।
* They have a big garden. — उनके पास एक बड़ा बगीचा है।
* He has a red bicycle. — उसके पास एक लाल साइकिल है।
* We have many friends. — हमारे बहुत सारे दोस्त हैं।
* It has four legs. — इसके चार पैर हैं।
* Ram has a sharp memory. — राम की याददाश्त तेज़ है।
* You have a gold ring. — तुम्हारे पास सोने की अंगूठी है।
* The bird has colorful feathers. — पक्षी के रंगीन पंख हैं।
* My father has a silver watch. — मेरे पिता के पास चांदी की घड़ी है।
* The children have many toys. — बच्चों के पास बहुत सारे खिलौने हैं।
* She has long hair. — उसके लंबे बाल हैं।
* We have a test tomorrow. — कल हमारा टेस्ट है।
* An elephant has a long trunk. — हाथी की एक लंबी सूंड होती है।
* I have a headache. — मुझे सिरदर्द है।
* They have a lot of courage. — उनमें बहुत साहस है।
* The tree has green leaves. — पेड़ की हरी पत्तियां हैं।
* Mohan has a blue umbrella. — मोहन के पास एक नीला छाता है।
* You have my phone number. — तुम्हारे पास मेरा फोन नंबर है।
* The cow has two horns. — गाय के दो सींग होते हैं।
Negative Sentences
Rule: Subject + Do/Does + Not + Have + Object.
(Note: Negative में हमेशा Have आता है क्योंकि Does/Do का प्रयोग हो चुका है)
* I do not have a pen. — मेरे पास पेन नहीं है।
* She does not have a brother. — उसका कोई भाई नहीं है।
* They do not have a car. — उनके पास कार नहीं है।
* He does not have any money. — उसके पास कोई पैसा नहीं है।
* We do not have enough time. — हमारे पास पर्याप्त समय नहीं है।
* It does not have a battery. — इसमें बैटरी नहीं है।
* Ram does not have a map. — राम के पास नक्शा नहीं है।
* You do not have a ticket. — तुम्हारे पास टिकट नहीं है।
* The house does not have a roof. — घर की छत नहीं है।
* My sister does not have a laptop. — मेरी बहन के पास लैपटॉप नहीं है।
* Birds do not have teeth. — पक्षियों के दांत नहीं होते।
* She does not have a key. — उसके पास चाबी नहीं है।
* I do not have your book. — मेरे पास तुम्हारी किताब नहीं है।
* This room does not have a window. — इस कमरे में खिड़की नहीं है।
* They do not have a pet dog. — उनके पास पालतू कुत्ता नहीं है।
* We do not have any problem. — हमें कोई समस्या नहीं है।
* He does not have a job. — उसके पास नौकरी नहीं है।
* The school does not have a playground. — स्कूल में खेल का मैदान नहीं है।
* You do not have extra clothes. — तुम्हारे पास अतिरिक्त कपड़े नहीं हैं।
* It does not have any smell. — इसमें कोई गंध नहीं है।
Interrogative Type 1 Sentences (Starting with Do/Does)
Rule: Do/Does + Subject + Have + Object + ?
* Do you have a spare pen? — क्या तुम्हारे पास एक फालतू पेन है?
* Does she have a sister? — क्या उसकी कोई बहन है?
* Do they have a plan? — क्या उनके पास कोई योजना है?
* Does he have a camera? — क्या उसके पास कैमरा है?

* Does it have a cover? — क्या इसका कवर है?
* Does Ram have a scooter? — क्या राम के पास स्कूटर है?
